El n\u00famero cuarenta aparece de forma muy repetitiva en la Biblia: cuarenta d\u00edas de diluvio universal, cuarenta d\u00edas nos recuerdan el tiempo que Jes\u00fas pas\u00f3 en el desierto y fue tentado por el demonio, los cuarenta a\u00f1os que el pueblo de Israel tard\u00f3 en llegar a la tierra prometida dirigido por Mois\u00e9s o los cuarenta d\u00edas desde la resurrecci\u00f3n hasta la Ascensi\u00f3n.&nbsp; Los fieles por tanto se preparan durante cuarenta d\u00edas para la pasi\u00f3n y muerte de Cristo.&nbsp; Parece ser que ya en el siglo IV comenz\u00f3 la celebraci\u00f3n lit\u00fargica de la Cuaresma y desde el siglo XI se estableci\u00f3 la imposici\u00f3n de la ceniza procedente de la quema de las palmas de la celebraci\u00f3n del Domingo de Ramos del a\u00f1o anterior.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3126 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/parroquiadealpedrete.archimadrid.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/IMAGEN-CUARESMA-4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"886\" height=\"247\" srcset=\"https:\/\/parroquiadealpedrete.archimadrid.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/IMAGEN-CUARESMA-4.png 886w, https:\/\/parroquiadealpedrete.archimadrid.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/IMAGEN-CUARESMA-4-300x84.png 300w, https:\/\/parroquiadealpedrete.archimadrid.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/IMAGEN-CUARESMA-4-768x214.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 886px) 100vw, 886px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La tradici\u00f3n nos cuenta que el pueblo jud\u00edo se impon\u00eda la ceniza como s\u00edmbolo de arrepentimiento cuando se estaban preparando para una celebraci\u00f3n importante o si se sent\u00edan impuros; los primeros cristianos comenzaron a tomar este s\u00edmbolo cuando quer\u00edan confesar en Jueves Santo, y m\u00e1s tarde, se fue imponiendo para el comienzo de la cuaresma. Para un cristiano, su significado es muy amplio, no es un acto formal, sino que la ceniza recuerda nuestra fragilidad, la necesidad de conversi\u00f3n y de renovaci\u00f3n durante este tiempo cuaresmal. El sacerdote traza una cruz en la frente y dice: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Convi\u00e9rtete y cree en el Evangelio\u00bb <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">o<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00abRecuerda que polvo eres y en polvo te has de convertir\u00bb<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Durante estos d\u00edas la Iglesia propone ayuno, abstinencia, reflexi\u00f3n, oraci\u00f3n y reconciliaci\u00f3n con Dios. Esto es, conversi\u00f3n en todo su significado.&nbsp; Es un momento para acercarse al pr\u00f3jimo, es tiempo de amor y de limosna. Ayunar es hacer una comida fuerte al d\u00eda y la abstinencia es no comer carne. Tambi\u00e9n recomienda la abstinencia todos los viernes de Cuaresma.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El cuarto mandamiento (\u00ababstenerse de comer carne y ayunar en los d\u00edas establecidos por la Iglesia\u00bb) asegura los tiempos de ascesis y de penitencia que nos preparan para las fiestas lit\u00fargicas y para adquirir el dominio sobre nuestros instintos, y la libertad del coraz\u00f3n (cf CIC can. 1249-1251; CCEO can. 882). <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Catecismo de la Iglesia Cat\u00f3lica n. 2043<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Esta conversi\u00f3n que se realiza durante este tiempo lit\u00fargico es una preparaci\u00f3n para celebrar la Pascua de Resurrecci\u00f3n.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El Papa Francisco, en esta Cuaresma 2022 que vamos a comenzar, nos invita a reflexionar sobre la Carta de san Pablo a los g\u00e1latas:&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>\u201cNo nos cansemos de hacer el bien, porque, si no desfallecemos, cosecharemos los frutos a su debido tiempo.
